Dog Goiter

The normal thyroid gland of a dog isn't palpable, but when it gets bigger in size and can be touched, it is indicating that there is an infection which needs to be observed by the vet.

It may be an inflammatory reaction (thyroiditis) or an act of iodine, but may also be due to malign neoplasias. In such a case, go to the vet as soon as possible.
