Hello Baja, this is all I have on swollen tongue:
Anatomy of the Mouth of a Dog. Leptospira infection. When it heals, he rests it by passing his tongue on all the inner walls of his teeth. When it's swollen, he presses it against his teeth. ...

Get him to the vet NOW!! He could die from this. If you have any benadryl give him at least one - but VET now.

glad he is doing better. Please keep some benadryl on hand in case it happens again. When the tongue swells, it can suffocate the animal & can be fatal very fast.
