Pet Groomer Salary

I was talking to a friend of mine the other day who was interested in getting into pet grooming but was completely unaware of what a Pet Groomer Salary would be. While talking about it he started to tell me some things about pet grooming that I was unaware about. I am thinking about getting a dog for my kids (who are absolutely desperate to get one) and he asked me what type of dog I was thinking about getting. I told him that since we live in an apartment we have a very limited amount of space so we were thinking about getting a smaller dog such as a Chihuahua or a dachshund. Well he told me that in the case of smaller dogs there are some important things to know about their grooming. One has to do with their anal sacs, which can sometimes become infected if the owner does not look for the signals. I was completely unaware about this disgusting fact but if we are going to be responsible pet parents we have to what we have to do. I was told that the anal sacs are reservoirs for the secretions of the anal glands that are located on either side of a dog's anus. The sacs contain liquid secretions from the anal gland and when an animal in healthy the normal color of these should be pale yellow brown or grayish. When the dog does his bowel movements this empties out, however some dogs are not able to empty the sacs properly and can get an anal sac infection. When a dog has this they tend to drag their behinds on the ground to relieve the irritation. I thought it was interesting and told him he would get a good Pet Groomer Salary with all he knows.
